What I Learned This Spring Break

I shouldn't even be writing this post though I am overdue (taking the week off for Spring Break) because just when I thought I had nearly conquered death (or at least a broken neck), this past Sunday evening--the final hours of Spring Break--a sore throat came upon me...the harbinger of a cold. I hadn't had a cold since late 2006! In fact my throat was so sore I thought I had picked up "strep thorat," which I used to get several times a year due to teaching in public school...if my students had even the slightest infect they'd pass it on to me (chicken pox, for example--and I was pregnant!). But, alas, it is just a typical cold. Sunday night and Monday, my throat was killing me, and by Tuesday my nose was running the marathon. Today, Wednesday, my nose has stopped running but I have a head cold, so that by Thursday, when this post will have been uploaded, I just might have laryngitis! And I am supposed to sing in my church choir for Easter!

Yet I count myself fortunate because instead of running off to the doctor (a doctor is lucky if he or she sees me once every five years!) I know exactly what to do. Drink huge amounts of water/orange juice/cranberry juice/herbal tea, and chew garlic toes. Yes, I said take out a small toe from its clove wrapping, and stick it in my mouth and chew it. Make sure it is small--I put a medium sized toe in my mouth and had to spit it out from its overwhelming fiery impact! Do this a couple of times. Those around you will complain about your breath but too bad! There may be other natural products out there that have the same type of effect on germs and viruses, but I don't know about them. Think back to the great Influenza of 1919 and how many people died from it. But few Italians did. Why? Because garlic is an integral part of Italian food. You don't have to take my word for it. Dr. Bill Sardi (who frequently writes for Lew Rockwell.com) has a lot of the information you could want to read up on the benfits of garlic here, here, here, and here. Whole cranberries--you can freeze them--as well as 100 percent cranberry juice, recommended by my former neighbor, a homeopathic doctor and chiropractor, also work. Orange juice works as well, but we always add a bit of cayenne pepper. Well, this is what we do, however do not take this as medical advice since I am not a doctor. Still, these things work, especially the garlic. As a result, my colds usually last only four or five days instead of the medically-stated "seven to ten days."

But back to spring break, which was near Ruidoso, New Mexico. The day we got there we went inner tubing. I was fearless, of course, even when I went down backwards. The next couple of days it was snowboarding. Honest, and if you though a 55 year old woman could never do snowboarding then you need a young at heart atitude adjustment. True, it was only on the "Bunny Slope" and I did fall backwards with a slight whiplash a couple of times, and out of the three of us (me, husband--who used to surf--and 15 year old daughter) I was the one least likely to win any snowboarding awards. But still... this is something I thought I must be out of my mind to try it, and there I was at the end of the second day actually doing it safely. Another thing we learned was that even if it is early March, old Mr. Sun can get you big time. Not only does the sun get you directly, but that snow it naturally bounces off in reflection gets you twice as hard! I hadn't had a sunburn like this one in many years of summers. But again, I knew what to do, and we went into the town of Ruidoso the next day and bought two aloe vera plants. Nothing, and I mean nothing, helps a sun burn like smearing an aloe leaf on your sunburn. Cut off a leaf toward the bottom, cut off the spikey sides, and then open up the leaf, which inside is all gooey with aloe, and rub it all over affected parts. And now we know what we have to do the next time we go on this kind of outing--put on plenty of sunblock!

And then we had the ride there (about 6 hours) and especially the ride back. We have "XM Radio." For some reason I don't quite fathom, my husband insists on listening to talk radio, especially "Talk Radio" (featuring folks like Dave Ramsey and Bruce Williams: information types) and "America Right", which is IMHO mostly propaganda, but the nice things is most of its squawkers (Laura Ingraham, Mark Levin, Mike Reagan and others) can't stand John McCain, which makes them barely tolerable, and sometimes they actually get it right (especially "the G man", G. Gordon Liddy, who devotes most of his shows on issues like Nafta, Trans-Texas Corridor, and sovereignty issues). Still, it isn't any particular position these people take. It is the hatred they spew. My husband can't understand why I can't stand Glenn Beck, for instance; the reason I can't stand Glenn Beck is that he simply hates Muslims. Quite frankly, I am SICK AND TIRED of Americans hating Muslims. Could be an "Isloamo-fascist" or just your average Muslim...most Americans seem to hate Muslims! If you want to hate Muslim terrorists, fine, but to simply hate all Muslims is sicko and NOT CHRISTIAN, especially since at least Muslims (unlike most Jews) revere Jesus Christ as a prophet. Most Jews on the other hand think Christ is a misguided rabbi (and Zionists/Talmudics/Kabbalists think He is boiling in excement in hell for eternity). But of course no one hates Jews, eh? (I am being partially sarcastic here. I hate to say it, but many Americans, if they thought they could get away with it what with all the hate crime laws that protect Jews, would hurt Jews at least as much as they would hurt Muslims. In fact I fear that if Israel continues to committ genocide against the Palestinians, American Jews WILL be persecuted through no fault of their own. All part of the "law" of Kharma: what goes around comes around.). For the denizens of "America Right" to spew any form of hatred is sickening. Now, every once in a while for balance we listen to Rando Rhoades of "America Left/Air America", and she is no better: spewing hatred against President Bush or Vice President Cheney (even if they deserve it) is not going to solve any problems or get them impeached. Bad mouthing Conservatives as "rednecks" or "idiots" won't win any hearts and mind either. In fact my biggest problem with the left (and leftist Joe Bageant will concur!) is their effette, elitist, and "know it all" attitude. But because she hates Hillary Clinton almost as much as Bush or McCain, Randi Rhoades again is tolerable (and Ed Schultz is downright pleasant at times). Which is why I prefer to listen to "Talk Radio." On the way back we got a good dose of Mike McConnell (not the White House guy, the talk radio guy) and Dave Ramsey. McConnell is a conservative for the most part. Ramsey is conservative and has this shpeil about tithing. Both make a lot of good points without spewing hate. But, in discussions of the over all economy, both I think are overly optimistic. Perhaps they don't want to panic people. Perhaps they are only offering solutions as to what people can do, such as get out of debt ASAP and learn to delay gratificiation. McConnell, who speaks about a variety of issues, seems to appeal to lower income folks (I say this because some of the people who call in are clearly know-nothing, education-averse individuals) while Ramsey appeals to (by what people's stated income is, mostly $80,000 a year plus) higher income and younger people. Listening to Ramsey is very instructive: for one thing, who would have thought that someone making six figues could be in so much debt? I can see Ramsey shaking his head at some of the callers! For instance, many of the callers sound like this: "I make $102,000 a year and I owe $90,000 on credit cards...and, oh yeah! I owe $200 K on my mortgage..." Yep, I can hear Ramsey's head banging against the wall. One caller, honestly, said he was over $100K in debt and he was asking Ramsey if it wouldn't be too much to join his wife's family at Sea World this summer. Ramsey almost croaked, but before he did he really lit into this guy! I can still hear Ramsey yell, "SEA WORLD?!?!" He probably felt the way I felt some days teaching Algebra to my high school students...as if it was a total waste of time!

Anyway, on the verge of making it home to the mountains my husband switched to "America Right" and Mark Levin. This was when the Obama-Jeremiah Wright nonsense was breaking, and Levin kept saying, "We gotta keep this one up, folks, we can't let this one go away." I am not going to recapitualte what Wright said (mostly because you know I think he's a racist) and what Obama did to defuse the situation. Nor will I go into what the righties are saying now that (gleefully, they express...why? They'll only get Hillary! Further, as I said, they can't stand McCain) about Obama is gone from the race. Do I need to remind anyone I will never vote for Obama? Still, if I was an oppressed black, I would probably find myself agreeing with much of what Wright has supposedly said...well, I'm not an oppressed black, but, his obvious racism aside, he's right on the mark when it comes to his claim that the US was attacked because of blowback from our foreign policy. Ron Paul said the same thing! But Ron Paul is white, so.... Thank goodness I am not the only one who has some proportion about this issue. So does Salon's Glenn Greenwald here. What's the difference between "Christian" Zionist Hagee claiming Katrina was "God's wrath" on the sins of New Orleans and Wright's saying 9-11 was blowback on an evil foreign policy? The difference clearly that when the right wing wackos are in power it's okay to be a hateful right winger--especially if you falsely call yourself a "man of God."

Finally, I have reached a verdict on "Wantagate." I believe Christopher Story is telling the truth (even if the fourwinds10 site, in lacing their "summary posts" with BS about Hatonn and other ridiculous "extraterrestrials", makes this Wanta stuff sound to be spurious at best, and, if I were Story, I'd tell fouwinds10.com "thanks, but no thanks"), and I believe he is telling the truth because 1) he's got all the documentation (which, unfortunately, would cost me hundreds of dollars to procure from him with a subscription which is over $700 a year!) in his quarterly "International Currency Review" magazine that can be had through interlibrary loan, 2) he "names names" and signs all his posts with his real name, unlike many folks who post anonymously or with CIA non de plumes... which means he fears no Illuminati stooge, 3) he's clearly a true Christian, 4) some in the mainstream media actually give his stuff credence: say what you want about the MSM, but I have found that they always seem to have a grain of truth in what they claim, even if most of it is propaganda...and the Wanta story is now starting to appear in a few worldwide organs, 5) how else can one explain why all of a sudden now it looks as if the worldwide banking system is collapsing? Further, Story claims something I recently (today, in fact) just learned, from Ambrose Evans-Pritchard, that China, Japan, the Uk and several other nations own about 2/3 of the current US debt...in other words, this country. In one of his articles here, Story basically says that since China put up money to replace the stolen Wanta funds (stolen by George H. W. Bush)--about 6 trillion dollars which was in its reseves, which was subsequently stolen by Sec. Treas. Henry Paulson--therefore China owns the Federal Reserve. This ties in with what Benjamin Fulford (see his files on rense.com) has said about the Chinese "secret society" (referenced also on the Colbert Report) in their fight to get the western Rothschild/Rockefeller "Illuminati" out of Asia. It also ties in to the fact that last week Carlyle Group went under, and Daddy and Baby Bush lost their shirts. Carlyle Group, is, of course, where Daddy Bush hid his stolen Wanta funds. As I said earlier: what goes around comes around. Furthermore, 6) Story claims that the person in charge of running this illegal operation now to keep stealing the Wanta funds is Hillary Clinton. One of her main advisers of a woman by the name of Eve Teleki, who is wanted in Britain over the 7-7 terrorist attack. The Clintons pardoned Marc Rich in the last few days of Clinton's presidency. Rich, of course, was the original stealer of Wanta's funds back in the early 90s. And you do remember Rush Limbaugh's skit on "Big John Huong" (to the tune of "Big John, Big Bad John") in 1997. And, oh yeah, did I mention that Story is a Geordie from Tyneside? These folks are notorious for truth telling and common sense. And, finally, 7) there is conspiracy theory and conspiracy fact. The difference is that while conspiracy theory always sounds plausible because facts can be made up to surround the theory and any idiot can make up a conspiracy theory, conspiracy fact is based on facts already verified by participants, if not the MSM, and further, there is no way anyone can make this stuff up. That is why I believe Cathy O'Brien's account of CIA/M-K Ultra brainwashing in her book, "Trance Formation of America" (because there is no way she could have made up all those grotesque details), and also why I believe Story. If Story says he had to spend his own $35,000 to bail Wanta out of a phony house arrest in Wisconsin on trumped up charges, I believe him, because he has a somewhat personal stake in all this. Even rich people (and I have no idea if Story is rich or not) don't spend $35,000 for no reason. But folks excoriate Story because he doesn't name his Downing Street or White House sources. Hogwash! Why should he name those sources when it is clear that those who "out" the fraudsters are taken down (you know, what happened to Eliot Spitzer?) or killed outright. Story has had a number of death threats. So has yours truly, because I exposed the money laudering by the so-called "Republic of Texas" Rick McLaren operatives (that is, I was deposed by the State of Texas, and I gave details about how McLaren was using the so called "Washitah Nation" tribe of "Juneteenth" fame to lauder money in Puerto Rico and other places. One of McLaren's people, Robert "White Eagle" Otto, a phony "Metis" Indian, referred to the "Republic of Texas" as the "washateria.").

And just when I thought I was done with this post, I bring up Eliot Spitzer. All this crap was breaking loose when we were on Spring Break. This bullsh*t is ridiculous! The New York State Republicans tell Spitzer to resign or be impeached over a stupid sex scandal?? Bull Hockey! It is because Spitzer, who helped expose Enron's take down of its investors and employees--the same Enron financially and otherwise supported by G W Bush--and was going to bring to justice various Wall Street/Bankster pyramid schemes (also related to Wantagate...remember his NY Times opinion piece? See this article by Greg Palast here, this Engdahl article here, and this article here). Funny how Spitzer writes a NY Times piece ripping the fraudsters, and then the next thing you know, he is forced to resign as NY State governor! When you deal with the oligarchs, nothing is ever co-incidence! Bush, and his Republican lackeys, will do anything to keep Wantagate under wraps. The fact that Spitzer was a Democrat has very, very little to do with it. And that brings me back to Obama, because, wouldn't you know it, while the McCainiacs are all giddy over the fact that Obama's pastor (and Obama) are being crucified in the MSM, it turns out that Hillary just might face the same crucifixion...it turns out that her pastor is a convicted sex offender--with children! So there we have it: Obama's pastor is racist but also a truth teller; Hillary's pastor is a pedophile (as is she); and McCain's pastor (Hagee) is a Zionist promoter of war and hatred who masquerades as a man of Christ, but a fairly easy case can be made that he is in league with the Anti-Christ. Now, I ask you, do you really feel like voting for President this November? I didn't think so!

The folks on various websites I regularly visit are now discussing the coming world-wide food shortage, so my next post will be related to this...which is why last July I began this site in the first place! Get out of the cities and especially the suburbs! And if you already have, tell your friends and loved ones to do the same. And get thee to your local store to stock up on toilet paper, paper towels, beans/rice/flour/sugar-honey/coffee-and-filters/soap...and especially matches!
