Freedom: What is It and Who Gets to Define It? PLus: The Clueless Masses DO Have a Point!
Well, the planting of our garden proceeds apace. We are using five gallon buckets as always, hauling them by hand up to the garden and fighting the spring-mattress-as-gate to water it. Now, if we could keep the birds from pecking at the baby plants to get at the insects on them... Warding off javelinas, deer, and rabbits is one thing! To foil the birdies, one would have to chicken wire the "roof" of the garden as well...which might not be practical when one of the garden tenders is over six feet tall! Perhaps someone reading this out there can offer up a few suggestions. And it is very nice to know--or hope, anyway--that millions of Americans are digging out of the cold of winter now and are beginning to plant their back yard or front yard gardens..or, if city dwellers, putting in a few seeds for "box gardens" in their windows. Unfortunately, many Americans are digging out from under conditions other than cold. Tornadoes, for one. Earthquakes, for another. Floods, for a third...in fact, never in this country have weather conditions provided such an ample opportunity for the "end times" crowd (rapture or no rapture..put me in with the latter folks) to make their case, and when you factor in what's happening in other places (Burma, for instance) one feels one is sure that Christ is "coming" soon! But folks, I have to look at the bright side: I get the funny feeling that very very few Americans are getting caught up in the circus we know as the "horse race" for President. You have seen my words on how I chide the "masses" for "not" really "getting involved" in picking the candidate for either Republican or Democrat primaries/caucuses, and that I chide the masses for apathy in the face of full tilt fascism, burgeoning police state, and dark days ahead. Yes, you have read my writings on this, but you have also read that we need to go outside the box for solutions. We can get out of the system's way, or get out of the system, period, or leave the country and not come back, watching the system implode form its own weight. Now, I have my own way of getting out of the system's way (I can't leave the country if my husband won't, and we've already tried getting out of the system, period--almost impossible when you have young children or elderly to take care of...which means almost all of us). You, dear reader and member of what I call "the remnant", have your own way. But what of the "masses"? I've come to the conclusion that they are trying to do the same thing...only perhaps their way of doing it is just very foreign to the way I do it or the way "we" (the remnant) do it. Let me explain.
This Robert Higgs article on Lew Rockwell (Look, I said I would stop promoting it on my blog roll...not stop reading it altogether) discusses why it is that "the masses" "know" there is something desperately wrong with the direction America is taking (like 81%!). Read the article and you decide what he concludes. Libertarians, he says, engage in wishful thinking. Correct. Shumpeter, a small government libertarian, said that ( I quote Higgs here), "Humanity does not care for freedom. The mass of the people realize they are not up to it: what they want is being fed, led, amused, and above everything, drilled. But they do care for the phrase." Correct, which is very unfortunate for us in the remnant who do give a crap about freedom, who don't want to be led by anyone in mankind (by the Holy Spirit is another story). But what he doesn't explain (satisfactorally, IMHO) is why people care for the phrase. This goes back to the notion of who gets to define freedom. The masses are not free to do just whatever it is they want to do, but, on the other hand--and this is going to be another one of those "zingers" I'm sometimes throwing out--the "Illuminati/oligarchs/ruling class/overlords/whatever-you-call-THEM" isn't free to do whatever THEY want to do EITHER! Think about it! Can Baron Rothschild, as much as he might want to, become God? Can the Zionists in Israel kill every last Palestinian? (Not if they want to keep up the "victim" game, they can't!) Can George W. Bush invade or nuke Iran and really, really escape all consequences? Can the CEO of Monsanto control every last seed on the planet? Can THEY, because THEY are psychopaths and because THEY are drug-addicted, pleasure-seeking, bored individuals, completely crush the spirits of the rest of us, and then expect to keep up their amusement? Because if they do crush the rest of us, what fun would that be for THEM? Well, okay, THEY can shoot us for sport, but again, what fun would it be for them to shoot at people who are so crushed that they want to get shot? If THEY could crush us the way THEY want, folks, we'd be begging for THEM to shoot us! And then guess what? THEY lose, because either there'd be no one left to shoot, or THEY'D have to start shooting each other. Endgame? People, THERE IS NO END GAME! If I was an ancient Greek, I'd say "the gods" were just having a good time at our expense, and especially at the expense of THEM.
You gotta hand it to THEM...John Steinbeck, who played on the phrase, "the best laid plans of mice and men can suddenly go awry," (who coined it though? Shakespeare?) knew something most people don't or don't realize. THEY, from the earliest days of mankind (the Bible says about 6,000 years ago; some claim 10,000 years ago, and others claim 100,000 years ago...does the time span matter?), have been "planning" to control not only each and every one of us simultaneously, but all the animals, plants, and all the rest of the organic and inorganic world as well. From the earliest "Fertile Crescent" civilizations, the earliest Indus River, Yangtzee River, Mezoamerican, Egyptian, ancient African, "Atlantean" and any other antedilluvian and postdilluvian civilization--you name it, the rulers of these civilizations ALL, either in concert or separately, tried to control each and every aspect of the lives of all their subjects, and animals and plants and all life and all resources. Whether using "the gods" or black arts or symbolism or fear or the weather or famines or pestilence or war (especially war) or religious dogma or any other devices THEY have used for these thousands of years, THEY HAVE NEVER ACCOMPLISHED THEIR GOAL!
As I see it (and I love to study history, with a special fondness for ancient history and hidden history), this is something like the scenario THEY have used for these thousands of years. Step one, rule over a society which expands to its resource limit, and then make war (or kill off the "useless eaters" in the society, or both). Either way, by war or engineered famine or both, the people who are being ruled come under "patriotism" (dependency on the rulers for "safety and security" to the point where the desires of the rulers become their desires) and/or fear of the "other" they are about to invade (which especially works when the "other" is of a different race or skin color or religion). Step two: win the war, enslave the vanquished, where the rulers take 99% of the spoils but throw crumbs out to the masses who usually are grateful at first. Since the masses are now not the lowest of the low--the slaves are--they are happy, and soon they are fat and happy and lazy (because the slaves do all the hard work)[Note: you can really see it this year in the Dem primaries...Hillary has fed into that "white trash fear of a black president" shtick with her huge wins in Appalachia. Rednecks are NOT stupid the way leftists make them out to be. But rednecks DO NOT want to be left at the "bottom of the totem pole", which is where they would be if not for the "(n word)" Rednecks are not racist because they want to be. They are racist because they HAVE TO BE!]. The rulers of course degenerate because now that THEY have everything, THEY get bored, fill their time with pleasure and drugs and have orgies and gluttony parties with vomitoriums and the like (a great film on this is Fellini's "Satyricon," the most graphic depiction of the degeneracy of any ruling class ever made...yes, it's rated X), and one of the reasons THEY instituted human sacrifice--merely crushing the human spirit of their subjects wasn't enough for THEM to jack off on. Thus, now THEY are degenerate idiots who are now leading a society in such decline that this society gets invaded. A good example of this is in the Book of Daniel, where Daniel tells Babylonian king Belshazzar (son of Nebuchadnezzar) that he is going to get invaded by Darius of Persia; at the time, Belshazzar had such a party as perhaps never had existed in Babylon before, the drunkenness, orgies, and the like. Well, you can think of this as parable, as literal history, or as bunk, but the fact is Darius of Persia did invade Babylon and did conquer it, period, at Babylon's most degenerate point in its history, and it has NEVER risen again! Naturally, the same thing happened to Persia, and guess what? It has NEVER risen again. And Greece/Macedonia. And Rome. And the glory of Israel under David and Solomon and Judah under Jehosephat and Josiah and Hezekiah. And Mali under Mense Masu. And Mongolia under Ghengis Khan. And Spain under Ferdinand and Isabela. And Portugal under John I and his Prince Henry the Navigator. And Holland under William of Orange. And the Islamic world under the Caliphates and the Ottomans at their height, around 1453. And the Chinese under the Han Dynasty. And the Japanese under the Shoguns. And the Indians under the Moguls. And the Aztecs under Montezuma, right before Cortez wiped out Tenochtitlan. And the Incas, about 50 years before Pizzaro wiped them out. (The Mayans were already gone by then.) Finally, the Brits under Victoria, and 30 years or so later, they need the help of the their former colony, the US, to stay afloat. Which brings us to now and the US. If it was THEIR plan to use the United States of America as THEIR proxy to rule the world via American armed forces, well, all I have to say is THEY appear to have picked the wrong horse. So what if the US has 150-some-odd military bases worldwide? Except for the mayhem this is causing in places like Okinawa, Japan, the folks on these bases control no one. The only reason Japan, which has its own armed forces, still has that base on Okinawa is because the government of Japan is wedded to the "illuminati" (but that might change soon, you never know), and because its leaders are more concerned about the growth of rival China as a military power than they are about US imperialism and rapes of Okinawan women. Same with South Korea, which has a (rather wimpily) nuclear-armed neighbor to the north. Same with many other countries that could probably defend themselves (and don't ask why we still have bases in Britain, Germany, France, Italy and the like when the "cold war" is over...on the other hand, Russia seems to be getting stronger all the time). In other words, all those bases are just appearences that will have to be jettisoned when we can no longer afford to keep them--which is probably sooner than later. So what if Americans still insist on trying to tell others what to do? I recently read about how Egyptian puppet Hosni Mubarek actually rebuffed President Bush and got away with it. Oh, yeah, and the King of Saudi Arabia as well. And, if you are following Wantagate, how Chinese Finance Minister, a "Madam Wu," has given the US Treasury an ultimatum to repay China what we owe China, having borrowed trillions to finance our decaying empire and wars. Depreciating dollars will only get us so far. As I keep saying, Bush and his ilk DO NOT live in the real world and have no wish to deal with it. The power of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (led by Russia and China, and includes Iran, BTW) is growing because the power of the US is going, even if most Americans won't or can't admit it. Actually, the United States has come the closest to actually ruling the planet. The thing is, we ARE NOT ruling the planet, never have ruled the planet, and NEVER WILL. China won't either, no matter how much the Sinophobes claim they will. Islam won't, either, and the Caliphate days are gone (why? Because Sunnis won't be ruled by Shiites, and vice versa). If the Talmudic Zionists in Israel actually believe they can rule over and enslave us "goyim" (wow, five million at the most, ruling over about 7 billion! Their phony "Messiah" is surely not up to that task!)... Funny! They can't even beat Hezbollah! Cute, Bibi, cute...and your power over us Americans, too, is on the wane. Could it be Obama, who might be our next President, actually doesn't kiss Israel's ass as much as Clinton and McCain do, as the Israelis themselves claim? So, I ask you, folks, is there no one, no ruling nation or ruling group, including the "Illuminati", up to the task? Well, given that the "Illuminati" and their predecessors have NEVER succeeded in all of history in actually ruling over all (and remember, antedilluvian civilization is supposed to have been at least as technologically advanced as ours is), I would have to say that THEY are not up to the task either, no matter what Alex Jones and others say. Another way to put it is that THEY do the same things, over and over again, expecting different results...in other words, THEY are insane.
And what about the "clueless" masses, who seemingly are just "letting this happen" and not "fighting to restore freedom"?
Back to Higgs, in which I think he finally makes his point. Freedom, whether to waste your life watching TV and consuming at the mall, or to become as sustainable as possible, to live on the grid til your brain fries or live off the grid, to spend 18 hours a day working behind a computer or spend it out in nature, to read history books or comic books, to play "Hearts" with a regular card deck or a "Saddam" card deck or on the internet, to plan to go to college or plan to go barefoot and pregnant on somebody's welfare... when THEY can no longer keep their ponzi scheme afloat as it falls by its own weight until it collapses, whereby THEY will head to their ranches in Paraguay or private islands or barricaded fortresses, then We the People will then be able to regain whatever freedom we cherish--by default. One of these days, THEY will realize THEIR "Great Game" is no longer worth it. Only God knows when that's gonna be.
Finally for this week, I will leave you with some links to articles that you just might want to check out. Remember way back when I said that while I did not believe the official version of 9-11, I did not take too much stock in what "the truthers" said either? The "9-11 Truth Movement" has too many wacko theories surrounding it for me (who only believes in conspiracy fact, not conspiracy theory), such as holographic projections. Well, some of those "truther" beliefs just might be worthy, after all; but, the thing is, people making these kinds of claims must be those who would be in a position to know the truth. According to this Pakistan Daily site article, not only did Bush allow 9-11 to happen (as I have always believed), but Bush ACTUALLY ORDERED 9-11 to happen (Christopher Story at Global Analysis makes the same general claim). (The article is reposted on Rogue Government, based on an Alex Jones interview--yeah, I know, that makes this info suspect, but Jones isn't making the claim, a government insider is). Even so it is worth the read, especially if this is true. For further reading on some of the things this official brings up, Emperor's Clothes supports much of what he says...it's the first time I read about Bush watching "the first plane hit the north tower" on TV, though no such footage exists, and how Bush explained this gaffe away during an interview/press conference. Then there is this Haaretz piece about Orthodox Talmud-believing Jews, mostly Yeshiva students, burning New Testaments (well, if they can burn Palestinians, why not?). I am keeping tabs on what the Zionists are doing to Christians, because eventually (either through my blog or an "e-book" in .pdf format, I am going to expose these anti-Christs for what they are so even John "Jews don't have to accept Christ as Savior" Hagee will understand, and hopefully repent. Then, although I've seen this article posted on about ten websites, I will link to it here just in case readers haven't seen it yet: the government's latest addition to our ever growing police state: Main Core. Makes Joe McCarthy and Nixon look like freedom fighters! And for a good laugh, find out how the idiots in Congress--who still believe the US can dictate to other groups of nations what they ought to do, even though we owe so many of these countries trillions in debt--are trying to sue OPEC over oil prices! I bet the sheiks in the UAE are having a laughing contest over this! Last but not least, in memory of "Fluffy," my dear departed cat, I give you this video, which is one of the funniest and cutest I've ever seen on the net. "Fluffy" looked just like the cat in the video. RIP, Fluffy!
